I recently installed the TPTP manually to my Eclipse 3.1 install. When I
try to Profile a Java application, I get a dialog asking me for a
userid/password to local host (secure connection). Some of the sparse docs
that I've found say that I should disable security to be able to run this,
but for the life of me I cannot find how. IN any case, when I try typing
any userid/pwd combination, I get message
IWAT0112E The agent controller on host localhost is configured to use
security. The product you have does not support secure connections. If you
want to connect to localhost you will need to disable security of the
agent controller on localhost.
Can someone please help me figure out how to turn off this secure
connection feature?

Which driver are you using? I remember a fix going in for this about two
weeks ago. Security on IAC was enabled by default, which it shouldn't
have been. Try grabbing a newer driver.
I don't even think it makes sense to enable security for IAC, since it's
only used locally. So I think it was removed because I can't find
anything on IAC security in my preferences.

Alright, this is really strange, security is not in the 4.1.0.1 driver. I
thought you were using a 4.2 development driver. Here are a few questions
I need you to answer before I can help you:
1) Are you sure you're using IAC to profile your application? Are you
running the RAServer process or RAService service?
2) Did you download the "New technology Agent Controller" or "Agent
Controller" or neither one?
3) Do you know if you have the IBM RAC installed on your computer? Check
your windows\system32 for the piagent.dll
