When I call up the URL to my report, which is something like:

http://localhost:9080/birt-viewer/frameset?__report=
C:/Development/reports/new_report.rptdesign

How can I have that new_report.rptdesign file re-run the SQL query that it
was originally created from?

Can anyone point me in the right direction?
