Any support for: Scripted Reports with Drilldowns over SDO DataGraph Object ? [message #58991] Fri, 15 July 2005 12:46

I have a only superficial understanding of scripted data sets. If this
topic is addressed in a tutorial, please give me the pointer.

The DataSet I want to access using a BIRT script would reference an SDO
DataGraph (or other EMF derived object). A DataGraph implements a
hierarchy using List attributes. It is simple to provide a DataGraph
subclass which produces a List attribute as an array of DataGraphs.

As a first approximation I would want to navigate a (hierarchical) DataGraph
using BIRT reports providing drilldowns to the contained DataGraphs. In
other words, the report hierarchy would be identical to the DataGraph
hierarchy. The display would be rendered in XHTML using a JSP.

Is this supported directly in BIRT, or would I need to add a feature for the
DataGraph support?
