Has anyone else had problems with ve crapping on the code ... lets say your
editing a title for a jpanel, and you accept the changes. Then elipse makes
the changes to the source where it DELETES some random code and dump the
code that should have been generated for the jpanel you just changed, into
a totaly random area?

ive had this propblem with many different builds of ve.
i always start with a clean install using the builds of gef emf and eclipse
that are linked on the download page for any given version of ve.

its very frustrating to have to repair a big hunk of grid bag constraints
that just got pooped in by the ve. lets say this message is my source that
im working on with ve. this is what i mean by "pooped in"

Hi,
I've had this random behaviour with the Java Editor, for a non-visual
java classes. It keeps happening when I try to copy/paste text. It messes up
the entire java source file. Sometimes, clicking on the undo option can
recover from the mess, but its happened quite frequently.

I haven't worked extensively with VE, but I have observed a similar
behaviour using the java editor.

Best regards,

Elvis Dowson

Here is my installation configuration :
- Eclipse 3.0 full install with EMF 2.0.0 and GEF 3.0.0 SDKs release builds
- VE 1.0M2
- Omondo EclipseUML plug-in
(eclipseUML_300_studioEdition-installer_1.0.0.20040719)
- FeeMem 1.0.0 plug-in ( Freemem not acively enabled in a view. )
- Sysdeo Tomcat PluginV3 ( Tomcat disabled )

Do you have a repeatable scenario that exhibts this behavior ? Could
you please give as much information as possible about what steps to use
to re-create this so we can try to re-create it and create a fix ?

Also - please enter a bugzilla severe defect against this with as much
information as possible to allow us to see the problem - that way you
can track the defect's progress more easily than on the newsgroup.

Best regards,
