Hi,
I've used to use Eclipse for Windows and work directly on the Linux web
server files, through a Samba share.
Now that i've switched to Eclipse for Linux i can't see how can i do this.
When i choose a New Project, everything i insert in Project Contents
Directory textbox is not recognized by Eclipse.
Samba is working fine, since in Konqueror, if i insert
smb://vhosts@xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx/cv
i immediatly see the files on the web server.
However, this doesn't works in Eclipse.
Does anyone knows if it's possible to use Ecplise for Linux working
directly on a remote server using Samba ?
If so, how ?
Any help would be apreciated.
Warm Regards,
Mario Gamito

I would mount the smb share as a local directory in my filesystem. That
way, Eclipse treats your SMB share as it would any other directory.
Look at the smbmount command for this.
As an alternative, if your server and client are on a trusted and
relatively secure network, you could use NFS instead of Samba.
