We want to add plugins to Eclipse IDE. But due to security restrictions we
dont have write permissions to the eclipse default plugins folder.
We need an alternative so that we can install the plugins in some temporary
folders like C:\temp\MyPlugins.This plugins should be automatically
identified while eclipse startup
just like any other plugins. So is there any way that we can configure the
location of the plugins directory?

Thanks

Would the -plugins or -configuration command-line options give you what
you need? (See
http://127.0.0.1:3799/help/topic/org.eclipse.platform.doc.us er/tasks/running_eclipse.htm
when Eclipse is running)

Well I also tried out the command line option -plugins or -configuration.
But this was not solving my purpose.
However I got the solution from one of the newsgroup members.Check the link
below.
