C/C++ Plug-in Installation [message #57835] Sun, 12 January 2003 23:19 Go to next message

I am a new user of Eclipse. I just downloaded the C/C++ plug-in for
Windows and extracted the features and plug-in files into their respective
directories. When I restarted Eclipse, the Update Manager alerted me to
some pending changes, but the check box is greyed out. When I look at the
error message it says "Requested operation cannot be performed because it
would invalidate the current configuration. See details for more
information." The details say "Eclipse C/C++ Development Tools
(Windows)(1.0.1): Feature requires plug-in "org.eclipse.cdt(1.0.1)", or
equivalent." I thought that is what I had downloaded. Am I missing
something?

I've had the same problem with the F2 build. Try the F1 CDT build, that
worked fine for me. (on Eclipse 2.1 builds)
