Hi all,
My problem is that I have a folder in which there are several java
packages (none created with Eclipse) which are all included in one main
package.
When I try to create a project in Eclipse to include all theses java
packages, I get an error saying : "Cannot create project, project file is
out of sync with the file system".
I need to create such a project, in order to create classes inside one
of those packages.
But, if I try to create a project inside one of those packages, it works.
I don't know if this is a factor, but these packages are located on
another server which I mapped to my computer.
If anyone can help with this, I will be greatly thankful!
Chris

Please enter a bug report against platform core. Some questions to
answer in the bug report:
- Is it reproducible?
- Is it reproducible when the packages are on a local disk?
- What build of Eclipse
- Describe server setup (Samba, Novell, etc)
- Include .log file contents if applicable.
I suspect this is a problem with your network drive giving out of stale
timestamps for recently modified files. We have had reports of similar
problems on Samba drives. There doesn't seem to be much we can do at
the Java level to detect or deal with this cleanly.
