AbstractEditPart missing addNodeListener ?? [message #55204]

I searched the archives and it looks like this was discussed a few months
back (5/2002), and one of the initial posts mentioned that there was gonna
be an API to add a node listener to the edit part. It seems that this has
never happened. Is there a reason for this?

Just for history's sake, all "connection" code was moved from
[Abstract]EditPart to [Abstract]GraphcialEditPart, so maybe these methods
were lost in the move. We felt that we shouldn't pollute TreeEditPart and
other future implementations with the notion of connections when it didn't
apply.
