Display of version info? [message #54333] Thu, 06 November 2008 10:53 Go to next message

Hi folks,

although there is a field "version" where we automatically put the SVN
info in, it would be nice to have that version info available for display
in the published site.

How can I do that? Is there a "legal" way to do it, or do I have to
manipulate the inner circle of EPF xsl files? And if so, how?

Thanks a lot in advance,
Gerhard

Hi Gerhard,

I'm not sure if this is exactly what you want, but I was looking for
something similar to show some standard information at the bottom of each
page of my published model
http://www.eclipse.org/newsportal/article.php?id=1210&gr oup=eclipse.technology.epf#1210
("OpenUP 'footer' information" post).

Perhaps this is a way that you could publish a version number?

Well, unfortunately not. The copyright is an "official" function of the
EPFC, as there is a field and button to select it and to display it for
publishing.

What I'm looking for is the possibility to display the information of
fields in the published version, that exist (i.e., Author, Modification
Date, Version), but that is (currently) not visible after publishing.

I assume that this is actually possible by modifying some of the XSL
sheets in some way, but which sheets and what way exactly?

I think Gerhard means info about a element, not a model.
Btw.: This function is helpful for us as well.

take care,
