Hello,
I am using PDT 1.0.0.v20070910 on Eclipse 3.3. I haven't used
PDT/Eclipse in a while, so I can't tell in which version the errors were
introduced:
- Auto formatting does not work at all, it only puts all lines to the
left, nothing else. Not really what I expect.
- Auto completion does not work anymore! I remember that I did the
update because auto completion did something stupid: whenever I was
already in the middle of a word, let's say I already typed
req<Alt+Space>, it gave me the completion as if I hadn't typed anything
yet, so the completion list started with APACHE...-constants, and so on.
Now, auto completion does not work at all, not even when "forced" with
ALT+Space.
In total, at the moment, PDT is pretty useless as it doesn't support me
at all...
Thanks for any help,
Dominik

The keypress for auto-completion is actually Ctrl+Space by default,
maybe try that.
Not sure about your auto-format problems, except to say it works OK for
me. Might be worth checking your error logs and filing a bug report. I
know there have been some issues with that recently. That said the
latest version is working pretty much flawlessly for me. It's possible
that it is getting tripped up by an edge case specific to your code.
Have you tried formatting a few different files?

Maybe try to use the PDT all-in-one.
I have had some experience with eclipse SDK where some plug-in did not
work but the all-in-one did.
My installment properly did not meet the requirements even though I had
checked it several times.
Anyway, try with the all-in-one. It works almost flawless for me.

not working, either.

I tried with different files, even new projects, not working at all.
I will check with error logs, etc., but as it does something (just not
the right thing), I doubt I will find something.

I actually don't want to reinstall my Eclipse, it is a grown
installation and I use it for more than just PHP, so I really don't want
to install a new package.
Thanks anyway, I will try it as an alternative, just to check if it works.

I found the reason for the errors: It does not work with projects which
are stored/handled in SVN! I checked one project out - does not work. I
disconnected that project - works.
So it seems to be a problem with Subclipse? I already disabled every
other extension despite Subclipse and the PDT stuff, will try to
reinstall Subclipse now. Will report back then :)
Greetings,
Dominik

Well since eclipse doesn't really ever is installed, you can have
multiple copies on your system. So you could get the PDT-all-in-one and
see if it would work for you and over time migrate your other plugins.
