Web Toolers,
We now have a minimal FAQ on the website
(http://www.eclipse.org/webtools/faq/main.html). We have also created a
Bugzilla component named "FAQ" (https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/). When you
come across something that you think should be in the FAQ, either a question
or an answer, just open a bug report for component FAQ. That will trigger
the committers and contributors to post the question and answer to the FAQ
list.

Just not to pollute FAQ: is/will be DTD/Schema based XML editor
available as a lightweight plugin outside WTP?

Hi Sam,

The XML editor builds on top of the structured source editor (SSE) which
has other WTP dependencies. To only use the XML editor from the WTP
project you will need (I think I got all the dependencies)
org.eclipse.wst.xml.ui plugin
org.eclipse.wst.xml.core
org.eclipse.wst.xml.uriresolver
org.eclipse.wst.xml.uriresolver.ui
org.eclipse.wst.sse.ui
org.eclipse.wst.sse.core
org.eclipse.wst.dtd.ui
org.eclipse.wst.dtd.core
org.eclipse.wst.common.contentmodel
org.eclipse.wst.common.encoding
org.eclipse.wst.common.uriresolver
org.eclipse.wst.common.ui
org.eclipse.wst.common.frameworks
org.eclipse.wst.validation

I believe there was also some talk of creating separate downloads from the
WTP downloads page such as for XML editing (which would probably contain
the DTD, XSD, and XML editors and validators and their prereqs). If this
is of interest to the community it is something that can be discussed.

For reference, this would certainly be of interest for us.
