I installed a fresh clean Eclipse 3.0.1. I installed CDT and few other miscellaneous things through the Eclipse Update option under Help. I then installed the M1 of the Web Tools. I can create a J2EE Web Project with no problem… I can create a Server Project. When I add a Server to my Server Project, it appears to go through the wizard (last page being assign projects), yet upon clicking Finish, nothing appears to happen. I presume I should see a server entry under my Server Project (like WSAD), right? Oddly, in my web project properties, I've got numerous apache servers setup to choose from (which obviously means it's setting something up).

Any thoughts? Can't wait to get this working…

Thanks!

No. You don't see anything in the project (or I am not seeing anything
too). Open "Servers" view: Window -> Show View -> Other... -> Server ->
Servers

Hope this helps,

Chemi.

Ahhh!! Thanks! I just figured it worked similarly to WSAD. I'm a bit curious about the point of the Server Project now, as it appears that I can have servers set up without a server project? I guess I should post this up on the Bugzilla fact section… J

I suspect the problem is that the implementation was not finished. Let's
see which is the behavior in M2...
