I should mention that I am by no means a database expert - this just
happens to be an area I've been exploring, from an end-user point of
view, for a year or so with some success.

I would be interested in working with the group on this type of
technology. I'll have to go through a painfull process with my
employer to get permission (which is ironic given how much we already
contribute to Eclipse), but if the group is interested in this type of
technology, I'd be willing to persue the necessary permission from my
employer.
I would see two areas that I might be able to provide a useful contribution:
