HI!
I'm trying to get started with TPTP 4.1 testing but so far hasn't been
able to get it running.
When I try to run a test I get the same message that was mentioned in a
post on 1/1/06:
Connection failed on localhost.
Reason:
IWAT0284E The agent controller is not available on host localhost.
Make sure that:
*the agent controller is installed.
*the agent controller is configured to communicate with your machine.
*you have the correct host name and port number for the agent
controller.
Since I'm not running any RAC it's no surprise the connect fails, but
I'm not trying to connect to the RAC, I have specified a local deployment
and the documentation says that when RAC isn't present the IAC is used.
If I go to Settings->Profiling and Logging->Hosts, select the "Local
Direct Connection" I get the following message:"The Remote Agent Controller(RAC) is currently running.
You need to stop the Remote Agent Controller before activating the Local
Connection. To stop the Remote Agent Controller use the system Service
utility."
This i very strange since the RAC for sure isn't running, it's not even
installed since my OS is Mac OS X and there wasn't any such binary and I
don't need to do any remote testing. (note on the last sentence: isn't
the "system Service utility" a Windows specific thing? Haven't found any
on my Mac or Linux systems anyway...)
Thanks!
/Tomas W.
