| Missing Jar in Target Platform [message #48862] |

We are building a plug-in based on plug-ins not part of the Eclipse base.
We point to a Target Platform in our PDE preferences with the required
plug-ins -- actually, a subset of the whole product, which is just huge &
all is not needed for our plug-in. All was well, until we added a new
dependency.
The Target Platform to which we point has an eclipse/links directory which
points to a bunch of other "components." We have a .links file for the
component that is giving us heartburn. I believe it is correct because if
I go to the PDE preferences Target Platform and check the "Group plug-ins
by location" option, the six plug-ins that are included in the component I
need are listed. But, if I uncheck this option, they disappear.
Regardless, if I click Reload and OK my way out of the dialogs, my build
fails because of a missing JAR from this component.
Any ideas on why this might be?

What version of Eclipse are you using? The target platform story is
being rewritten for 3.5...

If you're using 3.4, I recommend grabbing 3.4.2 which just came out to
see if you can reproduce the problem.

What version of Eclipse are you using? The target platform story is
being rewritten for 3.5...
