Comparison with other tools? [message #48493] Thu, 29 December 2005 07:01 Go to next message

I use Eclipse for development of a web application.

I currently use Load Runner for load testing and OptimizeIt for profiling the
web application I work on.
While load runner scripts are not modified much , they normally run in an
isolated deployment for one or two hour.

I have explored JMeter for web application testing but not actually using it.

I am trying to list some obvious advantages I may have with TPTP over these tools.
1. Since TPTP is a plugin for eclipse, I will have an integrated environment for
development, testing and profiling.
2. Cost cutting
3. Fast test development (similar to JMeter)

What are other advantages?

Onkar

- Remote Profiling. You can use TPTP to remotely profile applications on
9 different platforms.
- TPTP does much more than just profiling. You can use the logging tools
to better analyze log files and
use the test perspective, which offers various tools for testing your
application
