I'm very interested in using SWT in regular Java applications, yet
whenever I search for it I find it only in relation to Eclipse. Is there
any way to just download the Win32 jar and library files for SWT, and
simply to use this API apart from Eclipse?

I would like to know this as well. But as an extension, I'm wondering
where the most appropriate place is to ask SWT specific questions.

Ok, doing some searching I found this: http://eclipsewiki.swiki.net/2
Might also answer my question as well, but would still like to hear of
other places to get SWT help. Specifically for the PocketPC platform

Hi Shawn. I recognize you from the WSDD newsgroup. :-)
Best place is the eclipse.tools newsgroup. This eclipse.technology group is
specifically for technology subprojects of eclipse. Yeah, I know it's a
confusing set of names.

Sweet, I found the jar and the DLL file, and it was smooth sailing from
there on. I\'ll test to see if it works on my Linux box too when I get to
work. I loaded it directly into Omnicore Codeguide 5.0, using the Sun
jdk1.4.1_01. It works great! It\'s very entertaining to look at the little
proprietary Microsoft logo on the Hello World! example. Thanks for your
help.
