FreeBSD and Eclipse [message #47097] Mon, 04 April 2005 16:22 Go to next message

On page 'http://www.eclipse.org/downloads/index.php', I don't see FreeBSD on
the list of platforms. Knowing MacOS X is based on FreeBSD, I would like to
know what technical difficulty makes the FreeBSD entry not available on the
downloads page.

Thank you,
Elifarley

Elifarley,

My guess would be that no one has tested SWT on FreeBSD and/or the
Eclipse build team hasn't received enough requests to build Eclipse on
FreeBSD. A quick search on bugzilla brought up this:
https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=89315

Hope this helps,
- Jeff
