Hi everyone!

What are the files(input.xml¡¢docEntry.xml¡¢submissionSet.xml) relation?
I known the input.xml is a CDA file¡¡to submit to the server, but what is
the role of docEntry.xml, submissionSet.xml in the course of documents
submitted?

Another question is bothering me, if I submit a CCR
document, the docEntry.xml and submissionSet.xml are same to the CDA
document submitted?

Hi Robert,

These files are used to help create the XDS metadata needed for the
submission. If you look through previous posts to this news group ...
you'll see a lot of discussion on metadata. OHF implements an automatic
metadata extraction process from the CDA document. However, the concepts
(data elements) that are present in XDS Metadata cannot all be directly
extracted from a CDA document for a viariety of reasons (terminology
incompatibilities, CDA does not represent some metadata concepts). Thus
we need some way of getting metadata that the extraction process cannot
get. This is why we have these files. They 'simulate' getting this kind
of information from the application that attaches itself to OHF for XDS
submission.

Hope this helps,
- Sarah

Hi Robert,

At this time, we don't support automatic metadata extraction from a CCR
document. Thus you would have to run the 'option 1' of the submission
test in which all metadata for a document is provided in the files.
Whether they are exactly the same depends on the document content. We
selected codes and values for these metadata files out of the code sets
that have been used in past Connectathons. In the real world, one would
really have to consider the clinical environment of their application
and the kinds of documents it would submit. Then, for each of these
kinds of documents, independently determine the metadata code values
needed for the submission. To simply get the test 'to work' you can
leave these files as they are .. but it would be good form to change the
formatCode from one indicating a CDA to that of CCR.

Codes used in past connectathons can be found here:
http://129.6.24.109:9080/xdsref/codes/codes.xml

In addition to the OHf documentation -- the IHE XDS wiki is also quite
useful:
http://ihewiki.wustl.edu/wiki/index.php/XDS_Main_Page

Finally, IHE is putting together an implementation resources page.
Expect this to grow:
http://wiki.ihe.net/index.php?title=Implementation

regards,
Sarah
