Eclipse IMPORT into my new project [message #46407] Sun, 03 April 2005 22:57

I discovered that Eclipse does not import what you think it is:
if I select a sub-directory it will import the directory structure from the
root inside the new project;
example:

I select c below a/b/ to be imported,
Eclipse takes /a/b/c/d and put it in:
eclipse/workspace/NEWproject/a/b/c/d

After creating this new project under Perspective JAVA,
the project is not listed in Package Explorer (so I cannot open it)
but appears if I select Perspective JAVA BROWSING.

In Perspective JAVA, in Package Explorer an older Deleted project appears
after the colon "Package Explorer: GoViz". Spooky!

this is on Linux Fedora with eclipse Version: 3.0.1
Build id: 200409161125.

thanks
Laurie
