No tools-section in the published configuration [message #46157] Fri, 30 November 2007 05:24 Go to next message

Hello

I create a new method plugin.
In standard categories\tools i create 2 entries (too1 and tool2).
I create a custom category "tools" where i add these 2 tools.
I crteate a configuration and add the custom category tool.
It correctly shows up as a tabular entry and shows the 2 tools.

When i publish this configuration nothing is shown. The tools section
doesn't show up.

Does this work as designed or is it a bug (in the later case i will post
it to the bugbase) ?

But i'm unshure whether i've seen this functionality in the past (actualy
i believe i did).

Regards Andreas

Hello Andreas.
The tools will only be published if there are actually tool mentors written
for it as EPFC does not publish empty categories. All categories in EPFC
will only be published if they are not empty to support the configuration
concept: In other words the rule is that when you remove all elements from
a configuration that have been categorized then the category will also not
be published anymore.

Hope this helps,
Peter.
