javaw.exe - Application error - [message #40822] Tue, 20 May 2003 15:37 Go to next message

Hello,

I'm getting the following error while I open a custom perspective.
"javaw.exe - Application Error - The instruction at "0x2f0d8735" referenced
memory at "0x00000530". The memory couldn't be read" . And then a dialog
come up with JVM terminated. Exit code=-1073741819.

Any idea where to look to get more info, has anyone come across such an
error?

Thanks in advance for any pointers.

Eric

I forgot to mentioned that this error only happens on Windows 2k. It is fine
with XP. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

You need to get the dump that the JVM produced and see where it was at
when it occurred.

The dump is called something like COREtimestamp.TXT (I don't remember
exactly, but it has core, txt, and a timestamp in the name). It should
be in the working directory (i.e. where you started eclipse.exe from).
