HTTP Proxy Standalone? [message #38722] |

Hello!
I noticed that the HTTP Recorder uses a proxy to monitor the communication.
The HTTP Proxy might be interesting for a number of other purposes
besides testing.
Is it possible to use the HTTP proxy standalone, without the TPTP
testing facility? If no, how difficult would it be to separate the proxy
from TPTP?
Thanks in advance for your ideas.
Regards,
Thomas

Hello Paul,
Thank you very much for this information.
My use case is actually for some HTTP Monitor that I recently ported to
Eclipse, called WebScarab for Eclipse (http://wscarabeclipse.sf.net).
It also contains an HTTP Proxy, but I am not quite satisfied with the
performance, so I am looking for some replacement.
I tried the TPTP proxy and it performed better, so I will look into
extracting it from the plugins you indicated.
Best regards,
-Thomas
