Hi,
I'm a newbie n now studying. I had problems with generating XML File from DTD File in Eclipse version 9.2020 (I have JDK 11, Dell computer). I have installed the XML Editor on Eclipse and so far the XML file works.

However, I could not find the button "Generate" when I right click to the DTD file (it has all the buttons like so it is impossible for me to generate XML file from DTD file, so strange... It works with all of my buddies except for me. I have tried to reinstall the whole bunch, Eclipse and XML Editor, still the same problems. Try also with MAC, not better... Does it lie on the Eclipse version 9.2020? I need it for our school projects.

Any support would be greatly appreciated.

In the latest Eclipse version I don't see the "Generate" context menu either. I am wondering if it has something to do with difference versions of Eclipse.
OTOH, I can use the new XML file wizard and create an XML from a given DTD schema. This page provides more details on this topic.

Report it as a bug, and try it in the Navigator view. I suspect there's something about how the menu action is contributed that needs updating to work when an DTD file is shown as a resource under a Java Source Folder like that.
