Galileo packages [message #2925] Thu, 19 February 2009 19:13 Go to next message

Where are the EPP packages for Galileo? Based on the published plan
( http://wiki.eclipse.org/Galileo_Simultaneous_Release#Milesto nes_and_Release_Candidates)
M5 EPP was supposed to be a week ago. But I can find no mention of
3.5/Galileo on any EPP page.
I did find the Eclipse SDK M5 build, but it seems that either the
planned dates on the wiki need to be updated or EPP needs to make the
package builds public.
Am I missing something?

I have to say that, just wearing my user hat, getting my hands on
Galileo M5 (or any milestone) is far too difficult.

Is EPP dead or what? This is quite disappointing; no information on the
web site about the status of their builds, apparently
outdated/inaccurate wiki pages, no response to newsgroup questions. Come
on guys, you're dropping the ball big time here.

Eric,

You are correct the information from EPP has been less than stellar and I am
partly to blame since I am suppose to be helping with the EPP communication.

The last project status was communicated via Markus on Jan 23 on the mailing
lists. http://dev.eclipse.org/mhonarc/lists/epp-dev/msg00408.html

Unfortunately we are behind on this schedule. The major issue is that parts
of EPP need to be rebuilt to use p2. Markus hopes to have those done by the
end of this week. We will update the status once there is something
available for people to test.
