I am working on an update site for our RCP product which is built on 3.3.
We've been given a requirement that going forward our updates must be
accessed over SSL completely.
I've built an update site for our product with the proper URL and protocol
information in the feature.properties. When I open the jars on the update
site (via the file system) they contain the proper protocol information.
After I install the new features however, I verify the feature.properties
and they have the wrong protocol. In other words, instead of https I see
http.
My questions are:
1. Has anyone else encountered this behavior? is this expected?
2. Is there some way to work around this? Or do I have to release a
product version that the proper protocol in order for this to work?
