Build before launch bug [message #336099]

I upgraded to Eclipse Ganymede (3.4.2), and found that unchecking "Build
before launch" doesn't seem to work, because Eclipse still tries to build
before my ant build runs (sometimes).
Someone else also logged this issue in December 2008, but had no responses:

I find this highly annoying, and I'm considering going back to Eclipse
Europa.

Should I log this as a bug?

Search for duplicates, then go for it.
