Is there an existing effort to provide some of the parts of WTP for pure E4 applications? I'm especially interested in the XML Editor.

I'm aware of lsp4xml, however I'm wondering whether there is also a way of integrating more of the WTP functionality in E4.

Any pointer would be appreciated.

No, plus I'm not entirely sure what constitutes being a pure E4 application. We're open to input on it, as well as people who'd want to work toward that.

Thanks for the answer! With "pure" I meant an E4 application without a E3 workbench (e.g.
PlatformUI.isWorkbenchRunning() == false
).
