Some of you may be aware that sourceforge moved all of it's cvs hosting to
Chicago yesterday, and there were the usual niggles with things, but there
seems to be a more pressing fault which affects Eclipse users.

extssh access is now connecting after an earlier problem, but once connected
cvs repository list listing all files with a version number of 0 and any
attempt to open them gives a lock error. What I've established this morning is
that it's only Eclipse that seems to be affected. Other members of the
projects I'm involved with are working happily with the new site.

It does not affect anonymous access to the SF CVS, that is still working fine.

Anybody else having a problem - or have a solution?

Lester,

I think you should log a bug about this against Platform/CVS
( https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/enter_bug.cgi?product=Platform). It would
also be helpful if you followed the steps on the wiki to provide a
client/server communications trace:

http://wiki.eclipse.org/index.php/CVS_FAQ#Is_there_any_equiv alent_to_CVS_CLIENT_LOG_in_Eclipse.3F

That may help reveal what the problem is.

You could also try to checkout modules using the Checkout Wizard (found
in the Import wizards under the CVS category). You may still be able to
checkout projects by typing in the name or path manually.

Sourceforge have now fixed the problem - It WAS their end, and it only
affected ssh access to sourceforge from some clients including Eclipse.

All the other CVS links were still working well, but I was trying to establish
if there was any pattern to help the SF admins ;)
