EcmaScript 6 Support in Eclipse Oxygen? [message #1764642] Thu, 01 June 2017 06:47

We have an Eclipse plugin that makes use of JSDT for the JavaScript support. JavaScript is a major part of what our plugin supports.

Eclipse has been stuck at EcmaScript 3 for a very long time. I was very excited that Neon supposedly will be supporting EcmaScript 6. Alas, the support was very poor.

I was monitoring Bugzilla for the JSDT EcmaScript plans for Eclipse Oxygen, and I can't get a clear picture as to how much EcmaScript 6 support will Eclipse Oxygen have.

Does anybody have any information about this? Or do we need to give-up up hope that Eclipse will get EcmaScript 6 support anytime soon?
