Hi,

Is it possible to have the Eclipse extension points work (i.e. find&load
extensions) without starting OSGi? This would be useful to expose a set of
plugins as a library of components, to a standard Java application not
running inside an OSGi container.

Yes, it is possible to run a java app that uses the IExtensionRegistry.
