How can I install new packages in Eclipse 3.4? [message #330905] Sat, 16 August 2008 11:43 Go to next message

In Software Updates I don't see new packages to install, so I can't
install UML2Tools. Why Eclipse 3.4 doesn't permit to install new packages?
In 3.3 it was very simple.

Tucano,

Posting 8 notes in the course of less than 1/2 an hour on two separate
newsgroups is too much. As I mentioned on the newcomers newsgroup,
perhaps the instructions here will help:

http://wiki.eclipse.org/Equinox_p2_Update_UI_Users_Guide

I'm curious if you noticed that there was a Ganymede Modeling Package
that includes UML? There's a link for that package right on this page:
<http://www.eclipse.org/downloads/>

http://www.eclipse.org/downloads/

I wonder if you noticed it? It's a little hard to find in my opinion...

Tucano,

I'm not sure if you realize how obnoxious your behavior is. Your public
tantrum is a bit unseemly.

I have no idea what you installed, you never mentioned that, but all the
things I've installed have the Ganymede update site there by default.
If it's not already there in whatever it is you installed, you can add it:

Tucano, you need to refrain from using abusive language, or you will be
banned from these forums.

Also, you do need to realize that it's the weekend right now, and many
people are simply 'away for the weekend'.
