"Resulting configuration does not contain the platform" -- how to debug? [message #330241] Tue, 22 July 2008 16:43 Go to next message

Hi All,

I'm currently hitting an issue with my build of an Eclipse platform.
When I try to install additional features, I get the error "Resulting
configuration doesn't contain the platform." This is with the old style
update manager, and I suspect I've done something silly to my
configuration, but i can't figure out what...

Does anyone know of any way to troubleshoot this / get additional
information on why it thinks my Eclipse install doesn't contain the
platform?

Cheers,

James

For anyone who happens upon this again and is stumped this occurred
because the product's feature wasn't being included in the releases
featured directory. As a result any changes to the configuration were
bombing out because the product ID wasn't found in the existing (or
future) configuration's feature set...
