After having read this:
http://wiki.eclipse.org/Platform_UI_Error_Handling#Styles, and trying it,
I've checked that for many cases (such as a unhandled exception), the
mechanism for specifying a custom StatusHandler isn't used at all by the
workbench.

In particular, SafeRunner doesn't use this.
I would update this documentation.

This has been fixed for 3.4. If you find other cases, please file a bug.
