I just bumped into this one:

I tried to do a Help => Software Update => Find and Install and got:
-----------------------------------------
Requested operation cannot be performed because it would invalidate the
current configuration. See details for more information.
Platform configuration has been modified outside this program. A
restart is recommended.
-----------------------------------------

Though I have no idea, who or what could cause this (I haven't touched
my eclipse configuration in at least 2 months...) I restarted eclipse as
recommendd and then tried again, but same result.

How can I kick eclipse to refresh or adopt the current configuration so
I can have a check what's new?

Michael

Hello Michael,

you might try to start Eclipse with the -clean parameter, maybe that helps.

I *ALWAYS* start eclipse with -clean (it's part of my eclipse shortcut,
since that caching caused me more trouble than good...).

So, that didn't help. Other ideas or suggestions?

Michael
