Hi,
I have a problem where a background job is reported to be running in the
lower right corner - but there is no indication of what this job is or
what it is doing in the Progress View. So it is probably a system level
job of some kind.

Greatful for debugging tips how can I find out which job this is, and
what it is doing.

Henrik,

If you are running under debug control and you stop the process, you
can check what each thread is doing. The instructions in here might
help too because they describe how you can get a stack traces from your
running process:
