Import team project set outside the workspace [message #328081] Tue, 13 May 2008 19:18 Go to next message

It seems that team project sets (.psf files) always import the project
list to the same directory as the workspace. Is it possible specify an
alternate location as you can with new projects, imported projects and the
checkout wizard?

I tried manually modifying the psf file to ref an alternate location but
as expected, this did not work.

Regards,
Will

Will,

No, it's a very annoying limitation:

Ed, thanks for the info. Any suggested work arounds? I've experimented
with ant tasks leveraging projectImport which solves the issue of
alternate project locations, but then I still have to manually enable cvs
for each project via menu option Team/Projecct Share.

Will,

I've not figured out a workaround. :-(

Ed and Will,

The best workaround is to provide a patch that adds a prompt for an
alternate parent folder as described in the bug report ;-)

Michael,

But I'm so busy and you have copious spare time. :-P

I helped provide a few patches to PDE last week, so maybe I'll take a
kick at the CVS can one of these days too. Be careful what you ask for!
