I am using Eclipse Version: 3.3.2 Build id: M20080221-1800 in Windows XP
with JDK 1.5, I have problem using the Update Manager through my companys
proxy server (OK at home where there is no proxy). Eclipse will just hang
in "Find and Install".

My company has a NTLM Proxy server (ISA), I have all the details set under
Windows -> Preferences -> General -> Network Connections.

I checked my network connection with Ethereal, I found Eclipse just query
my corporate DNS server directly instead of passing the proxy server first
to look for sites such as download.eclipse.org
