SVNKit and Java version determines "mergeinfo" capability [message #32653] |

I thought this was interesting.
* I have Eclipse SDK 3.3.2, Java 1.5, and the latest Subversive from the
update-site installed with both SVNKit 1.5 and JavaHL 1.5 connectors.
* With Java 1.5 and both SVNKit and JavaHL enabled, Subversive does not
claim "mergeinfo" client capability when it starts a commit on our SVN
server. Other than that, Subversive seems to work fine.
* With Java 1.6 (and no other changes), then Subversive does claim
"mergeinfo" capability.
* If SVNKit 1.5 is disabled, then Subversive does claim "mergeinfo"
capability and it doesn't matter whether you use Java 1.5 or Java 1.6.
I wonder if there is any other Subversive behavior that silently changes
depending on SVNKit and/or Java versions.

Hello, Tony.
I can tell you that all work with SVN is depended on client libararies we
are using. So the functionality you get, working with SVN itself, but not
Eclipse, is what the client library does. Of cause I do not know exactly
how the specific client library implements some functionality.
Best regards, Alexei Goncharov.
