I've recently updgraded to eclipse 3.3RC4 and I get this annoying Search
view appearing on top of my main coding view. To reproduce, open a Java
file, double click on its tab to make it "full screen", then right click
on a method and choose References > Project. I also get the same thing
with the Debug view. Is there any way to turn it off?

John,
This is just the way the new maximized editors work. When you do an
action that would normally be displayed in a view and that view isn't
visible, it comes up as a quick view. Clicking on the editor again will
make that quick view disappear. I'm not sure if you'd have been happier
if you did a search and absolutely nothing appeared to happen. That
would seem very confusing...
