Eclipse 3.2 Problems View [message #308906] Mon, 09 October 2006 18:36 Go to next message

I recently upgraded from Eclipse 3.1 to 3.2. If I have an error or warning
in my Java source code, the Problems view now shows a narrow column with one
or more +/- icons. The Resource/Path/Location columns to its right are
blank. Following rows display warnings and errors. Is there supposed to be
some column title like Warning or Error next to the +/- icon to tell you
what the following messages are?

Hi,

Do you have it in an RCP application?
If so, this is a known bug..
https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=155299

Unfortunately, there is no workaround reported. I have to stick my
development in eclipse 3.1.

No, this is just the Eclipse IDE. One thing that might be significant: I
installed 3.2, but pointed it at the same workspace I was using for 3.1.

I ran a quick experiment, created a new workspace, project & class with an
error in it. The Problems view now looks right.

Yes, there is supposed to be.
Can you post somewhere a screenshot of what you're seeing?

By the way, I, too, pointed 3.2 at an existing 3.1 workspace but the
Problems view works correctly - so it might be something particular to
your workspace.

Hope this helps,
Eric
