Foundation Updates in This Issue

EclipseCon NA Is Almost Here!

ECon NA 2016 logo If you haven't yet registered for EclipseCon NA, now's the time! (And remember to book your hotel room by February 12.) Even if you don't have a talk in the program, you can take an active part by submitting a poster or organizing a BoF.

If you have some extra time, check out our top 10 list for D.C.; some great sightseeing is only 30 minutes away by Metro from the conference venue.
The conference includes a two-day IoT Summit on March 8 and 9; see the details here.

Choose Your Board Representative

The candidates have been chosen, and voting opens on Feburary 8 for Committer and Sustaining Member representatives on the Eclipse Foundation Board of Directors. Winners will be announced at the Members Meeting at EclipseCon NA 2016 on Monday, March 7.

If you are eligible to vote, you will receive an email with instructions. These positions are important to the Foundation's governance, and we encourage everyone to participate!

Second Round of FEEP RFPs Underway

The Eclipse Foundation is seeking proposals for the second list of enhancements and improvements to the IDE/Platform under FEEP, our development program funded exclusively through donations made by individuals to the Friends of Eclipse campaign.

Proposals can be submitted directly from the list of Approved Development Efforts. Further details and discussion regarding the proposal process will be done using the ide-dev@eclipse.org mailing list; so subscribe to this list for more information.

The deadline for submitting proposals for this first cycle is Thursday, February 11, 2016.

Last Chance to Vote for Awards

awards logo Voting for the Eclipse Community Awards is happening now, and ends soon on February 8 at 5pm ET. Help choose the Top Committer, Top Newcomer Evangelist, Most Innovative Project, and Most Open Project. Winners will be announced at EclipseCon NA 2016 on March 10, 2016.

Propose a Talk for EclipseCon France

EC France logo Make June and sunny weather seem closer by submitting a talk for EclipseCon France! This EclipseCon focuses on the Eclipse working groups and our modeling, embedded systems, Internet of Things, and related communities of interest.

It's also an excellent time to sign up as a sponsor; the best options are available early.
The 2016 conference has been extended, with a full day of workshops on Monday, June 7, and two full days of sessions on June 8 and 9. Plan to stay an extra day and attend the Unconference on Friday, June 10. We look forward to seeing you in Toulouse!
