Selectable Manual and Automatic Validation
Validation preferences have been enhanced to give more control over when a specific validator will run. In addition, the project properties have similar settings for fine tuning the performance of validation execution. Additional extended properties are also available for specific validator types.

Simultaneous background validation
Many Validators now support running in separate operations, allowing both building and validation to complete faster. Validation operations are seen in the Progress view.
