Dave is working on robustness and finalization of the XML editor family, with particular focus on XML Schema design and validation. When time permits, he works on testing and writing a tutorial for building a Web Services application using the full suite of WTP editors.
Biography
Dave Carlson is an independent consultant in Boulder, Colorado who thrives on innovative technology--he started using Java in 1995 and Eclipse in 2001. Dave has a Ph.D. in Information Systems from the University of Arizona and is a frequent speaker at conferences and contributor to technical journals. He is the creator of the hyperModel plug-in for Eclipse that enables bi-directional transformation between UML and XML Schema, and author of two books: Modeling XML Applications with UML (Addison-Wesley, 2001), and Eclipse Distilled (Addison-Weslely, 2005).
