Community Update [LM]

  • Help system proposal from IBM reviewed.
  • Three stage approach:
    1. 0.7 release: HTML-based, content contribution
    2. 1.0 release: begin DITA conversion; joint representation
    3. post 1.0 release: fully DITA based, XML authoring tools available
  • IBM will contribute content and one additional committer

0.7 Release Status and Endgame Planning

  • Current status by priorities (excluding enhancements): 4/19/691/1/0
  • Weekly status telecons will be used to review component-level defect tracking
  • Agreed to re-version non-enhancement entries in Bugzilla to 0.7 version
  • Plugins to be re-versioned to 0.7 this week

Future Release Planning

  • Approved milestone dates for 1.0 release:
    1. M8: September 23
    2. M9: November 18
    3. M10 (ship): December 16
    M9-M10 is the four week rampdown period.
  • Approved release numbering for 2006 release (synchronized with 3.2 platform) to be 1.5.
