This installation guide describes how to install the TPTP Log Analyzer RCP and TPTP RCP Symptom Catalog Editor application packages. These packages are available to download from Eclipse Test and Performance Tools Platform download site.
This installation guide contains the following information:
- Software prerequisites
- Installing the RCP applications
Software prerequisites
- IBM or Sun Java runtime (JRE) or Java development kit (JDK) version 1.4.2 or version 1.5.0.
Installing the RCP applications
- To install the RCP Log Analyzer:
- Unzip the RCP Log Analyzer package. Typically, the package name
has the form LogAnalyzer.os.platform-TPTP-4.3.0-yyyyMMddhhmm.zip.
The Log Analyzer package includes a root directory called LogAnalyzer.
- To launch the application, open a command prompt and run the
LogAnalyzer executable file located in the LogAnalyzer directory. TPTP
recommends that the LogAnalyzer application be launched
with the following JVM options in the command line
LogAnalyzer -vmargs -Xmx512m -Xms40m.
- Unzip the RCP Log Analyzer package. Typically, the package name
has the form LogAnalyzer.os.platform-TPTP-4.3.0-yyyyMMddhhmm.zip.
The Log Analyzer package includes a root directory called LogAnalyzer.
- To install the RCP Symptom Catalog Editor:
- Unzip the RCP Symptom Catalog Editor package. Typically, the package name
has the form SymptomEditor.os.platform-TPTP4.3.0-yyyyMMddhhmm.zip.
The Symptom Editor package includes a root directory called
SymptomEditor.
- To launch the application, open a command prompt and run the
SymptomDBEditor executable file located in the SymptomEditor
directory. TPTP recommends that the SymptomDBEditor
application be launched with the following JVM options in the command
line
SymptomDBEditor -vmargs -Xmx512m -Xms40m.
- Unzip the RCP Symptom Catalog Editor package. Typically, the package name
has the form SymptomEditor.os.platform-TPTP4.3.0-yyyyMMddhhmm.zip.
The Symptom Editor package includes a root directory called
SymptomEditor.
