The easiest way to start with Swordfish is to get the Eclipse SOA Package. It includes the Swordfish Tooling and all other components necessary, such as the Java Development Tools and the Plugin Development Environment, to develop Swordfish participants.
Update siteIf you want to install Swordfish Tooling in an already existing Eclipse IDE or add the Swordfish runtime to your target platform use the install/update mechanism from within Eclipse. Swordfish 0.10 can be downloaded from the Helios Update Site.
Prerequisite for the Swordfish tooling is an Eclipse Java IDE together with the PDE tools, such as the Eclipse for RCP and RAP Developers 3.6 package or the Eclipse IDE for Java EE Developers 3.6.To install Swordfish tooling in your IDE go to Help > Install New Software... > select Helios - http://download.eclipse.org/releases/helios > SOA Development Tools. Download Swordfish Deployment Tooling and Swordfish Development Tooling.
To add the Swordfish Runtime to your target platform add a Software Site in the Target Definition Wizard dialog. Select Helios and then EclipseRT Target Platform Components. Download Swordfish Target Components.
The SwordfishServer is an Equinox container including the Swordfish runtime that supports deployment of Swordfish modules from the Eclipse IDE. This readme contains instructions how to install and run the server.
