Are you upgrading to 3.0 using a 2.1 workspace? It looks like the last =
time you saved this perspective you had views that are no longer in your =
Eclipse install - the ConsoleView got renamed in 3.0.

Tod,

I had 2.1 on my PC. I moved all the projects to a different directory, =
deleted the eclipse 2.1 directory and subs, unzipped 3.0 and moved the =
projects back.

This error occurred with a new project I created with 3.0.

What's the best way to "upgrade" the workspace from 2.1 to 3.0?

The most effective strategy is to keep your workspace directory(ies)
separate from your Eclipse installation(s). For example, something like
the following:

\Java
\Eclipse
\2.1
\plugins
...etc
\3.0
\plugins
...etc
\workspaces
\2.1
\.metadata
...your projects
\3.0
\.metadata
...your projects

Whenever I want to work with a new version of Eclipse, I copy over my
latest workspace to a new directory under workspaces, install the new
version into it's own directory under eclipse, and specify the -data
command-line argument to eclipse.exe. Eclipse will automatically update
an an older workspace to newer versions if necessary.

This makes it easy to isolate different Eclipse versions, just in case
you ever want to go back to a previous one.

Even with this, however, you are going to get some warnings when opening
a (copy of) existing workspace in the new version, because the workspace
may have references to plug-ins that the new installed version does not
have (yet). This should only happen the first time each perspective is
opened, and can be ignored. Go get the new versions of your plug-ins,
install them into the new Eclipse installation, and restart. Everything
should be hunky-dory.

HTH,
Eric
