How can I turn off autoraise when eclipse receives focus [message #303044] Sat, 06 May 2006 17:11 Go to next message

I use Eclipse 3.1 on Windows XP professional.

I use focus follows mouse mode - i.e. when I move my mouse into an
application, I want it to automatically get the focus.

My problem is that when I move the mouse into Eclipse and it receives the
focus, it raises the window to the front.

This is very annoying behaviour, especially since Eclipse needs to occupy
a lot of the desktop. I want the window to stay where it is unless I ask
it to come to the front (by clicking in the title bar or something). I
very often want to type into Eclipse while referring to something in a
window (e.g. an email or javadoc in a web browser) in front of Eclipse.

Is there some way to turn off this autoraise behaviour?

Thanks

Has anyone ever answered this question. I too have this problem. To summarize, when running Eclipse in Microsoft Windows, now version 7, the IDE moves to the foreground whenever the mouse enters the window. This is really really annoying and useless behaviour.
